Project Description

Unmaredivino

The strength of the family, the determination of the Sardinians,Gioacchino’s
love for his land and for things done always to perfection

New ways to honor tradition.

Gioacchino Sini lives and works in Berchidda in the North Eastern part of Sardinia, in the heart of Gallura, an area with a strong wine-growing vocation halfway between Monte Acuto and the ocean. Son of farmers, tied to his land by a deep love, Gioacchino was trained in Northern Italy and then returned to Sardinia where he now lives with his family and where, supported up to a few years ago by his father Pietrino (“Su Mere” in Sardinian, that is to say “the boss”), he made his dream come through : to produce quality wines that represent his land, Gallura.

His first vineyard, in “Su crabileddu”, was planted in 2000, then in 2012 the second vineyard was planted in “Muros”. Visiting vineyards with Gioacchino Sini is an experience that tells you a lot about his personality and his wines: the soil, the slopes, the expositions, the hydraulics, the plant, the cultivated varieties, the pruning system, the yields, the very small and fine details…

Nothing is left to chance in Gioacchino’s vineyards because vines must be taken care in the best possible way as they will express, through the grapes, and then in the glass the beauty and intensity of Gallura.
