Project Description

Cantina Gaffino

Lazio wines have returned to “ancient splendor”, with great pride, and with excellent quality.
Cantina Gaffino is a perfect example: the wine, the image of the bottles,
the people who produce it have one common denominator: frankness.

Rome is the inspiration for this project.

Aiming to the very best of what one does (and having fun with what one does) is Gabriele Gaffin’s mission. He had  inherited this family business and decided to abandon other “sparkling” professional paths to dedicate himself totally and heartily to the production of high quality wines . The thirty-two hectare farm is in biological conversion and will be certified organic by the 2020 harvest.

We are just South of Rome, between the Albano volcano and the Tyrrhenian Sea. A little further on, the “Castelli Romani”, the volcanic reliefs that embrace the southern part of Rome, strongly condition this soil which mixes precious volcanic residues with clay. Here Gabriele produces natural, honest wines  that deeply belong to this land.
